ตตฺถ อาการตฺเถน เอวํสทฺเทน เอตมตฺถํ ทีเปติ “นานานยนิปุณมเนกชฺฌาสยสมุฏฺฐานํ            อตฺถพฺยญฺชนสมฺปนฺนํ  วิวิธปาฏิหาริยํ ธมฺมตฺถเทสนาปฏิเวธคมฺภีรํ สพฺพสตฺตานํ สกสกภาสานุรูปโต       โสตปถมาคจฺฉนฺตํ  ตสฺส  ภควโต  วจนํ  สพฺพปฺปกาเรน  โก  สมตฺโถ  วิญฺญาตุํ  สพฺพถาเมน ปน โสตุกามตํ  ชเนตฺวาปิ” [1] ฯลฯ

พระอานนท์แสดงความนี้ด้วย เอวํ ศัพท์ อันเป็นอรรถในคราวทำสังคายนานั้นว่า  “ใคร ๆ สามารถจะทราบพระดำรัสของ พระผู้มีพระภาคเจ้า พระองค์นั้น ซึ่งละเอียดอ่อนด้วยนัยต่าง ๆ เกิดขึ้นด้วยอัธยาศัยอันกว้างขวาง  สมบูรณ์ด้วยอรรถและพยัญชนะ มีปฏิหาริย์หลากหลาย ลึกซึ้งโดยธรรม โดยอรรถ โดยเทศนา แลโดยปฏิเวธ มาสู่โสตประสาทของสัตว์ทั้งปวง โดยสมควรแก่ภาษาของตน ๆ โดยประการทั้งปวง และทั้งให้เกิดความอยากฟังโดยเต็มกำลัง

อเนกชฺฌาสยสมุฏฺฐานํ

เกิดขึ้นด้วยอัธยาศัยอันกว้างขวาง         

อตฺถพฺยญฺชนสมฺปนฺนํ

มีปฏิหาริย์หลากหลาย

มีความลึกซึ้งโดยธรรม

มีความลึกซึ้งโดยอรรถ

เทสนาคมฺภีรํ

Have  profoundly by give  sermons ,

ลึกซึ้งโดยเทศนา

ปฏิเวธคมฺภีรํ 

Has  profoundly by attain enlightenment ,

มีความลึกซึ้งโดยปฏิเวธ

สพฺพสตฺตานํ  สกสกภาสานุรูปโต  โสตปถมาคจฺฉํ

มาสู่โสตประสาทของสัตว์ทั้งปวงได้ โดยสมควรแก่ภาษาของตน ๆ

และยังความอยากฟังให้เกิดอย่างเต็มกำลัง
